NBC’s “Chicago PD” fans are still upset about the departure of Jesse Lee Soffer’s characters Halstead!

The show just doesn’t feel the same anymore and they believe the exit was very unnecessary especially since the crew continues to talk about him in interviews.

Jesse appeared in 189 episodes of the show before his character was written off, with Jay resigning from Intelligence to take an army job in Bolivia.

“To create this hour drama week after week has been a labor of love by everyone who touches the show,” he shared. “I will always be proud of my time as Det. Jay Halstead.”

Jesse is now directing episodes but fans feel that it’s not enough!

One fan shared:

“I’m gonna need gwen and the rest of the chicago pd writers to just never speak of jay or upstead again if jesse doesn’t come back. id rather have radio silence about it than watch them rip them apart or create a problem unnecessarily.”

This was shared in response to an interview answer:

The reaction from fans this has been very emotional. We hope the second half can pull off a better vibe.
